उष्णकटिबंधीय तूफान क्या है?

Tropical storms are the intermediate stage between a tropical depression and a typhoon. They receive names from pre-assigned lists maintained by regional agencies (PAGASA for Philippines, JMA for western Pacific). A tropical storm can still produce dangerous flooding and storm surge even without typhoon-force winds.
