बिजली क्या है?

Lightning is produced when rising air separates electric charges within a cumulonimbus cloud. The temperature of a lightning bolt can exceed 30,000°C. Southeast Asia has some of the highest lightning densities in the world, particularly over the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and the Strait of Malacca. Lightning kills an estimated 2,000 people per year worldwide — staying indoors during thunderstorms is the safest strategy.
