गरज क्या है?

Thunder is produced when lightning heats the surrounding air to approximately 30,000°C, causing it to expand explosively. The rumbling quality of thunder occurs because sound from different parts of the lightning channel arrives at the observer at different times. Thunder can be heard up to 25 km from the lightning strike. Count the seconds between the flash and the boom: divide by 3 for approximate distance in kilometres.
