तापमान व्युत्क्रमण क्या है?

Temperature inversions suppress vertical mixing of the atmosphere, trapping pollutants, smoke and fog near the surface. They are common during the cool season in valleys and basins. Chiang Mai, Luang Prabang and Kathmandu all experience severe inversions that concentrate haze and smoke from agricultural burning, producing some of the worst air quality on Earth during March-April.
