उच्च दबाव प्रणाली क्या है?

High pressure systems (also called anticyclones) form when air descends from aloft, warming and drying as it compresses. They suppress cloud formation and bring settled, sunny weather. The subtropical highs (Azores, Pacific) are semi-permanent features that drive the trade winds. In Southeast Asia, the Siberian High is responsible for the northeast monsoon that brings the dry season to mainland countries.
