PM2.5 क्या है?

PM2.5 particles are about 30 times smaller than a human hair. They come from combustion (vehicles, power plants, fires), industrial processes and secondary formation from atmospheric chemistry. WHO guidelines recommend annual average PM2.5 below 5 µg/m³. Many South and Southeast Asian cities regularly exceed 50–100 µg/m³, particularly during dry season, haze events and winter temperature inversions.
