What is Sunshine?

Sunshine hours are recorded using Campbell-Stokes recorders or electronic sensors. Average daily sunshine in Southeast Asia ranges from 4-5 hours during the monsoon to 8-10 hours in the dry season. Singapore averages about 5.5 hours of sunshine per day year-round.
