A measure of how hot or cold the air is, expressed in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).

What is Temperature?

Temperature is the most fundamental weather variable. It is measured by thermometers at weather stations, typically in shaded enclosures 1.5 metres above ground level. The WMO standard is Celsius.
