उच्च दबाव कटक क्या है?

Ridges appear as extensions of high-pressure systems on weather maps. When a ridge builds over Southeast Asia, it suppresses convection, reduces rainfall and can bring extended dry spells. During the dry season, a persistent ridge associated with the Siberian High dominates mainland Southeast Asia. During the monsoon, brief ridges between monsoon pulses bring temporary clearing and sunshine.
