What is Maritime Climate?

Island nations like Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia have strongly maritime climates. The ocean moderates temperature extremes — Singapore has an annual temperature range of only 2°C between its warmest and coolest months. Maritime climates also tend to have higher humidity, more cloud cover and more frequent rainfall than continental climates at the same latitude.
