forecastingWhat is Hygrometer?
Traditional hygrometers used materials that expand or contract with humidity changes (hair, organic membranes). Modern electronic hygrometers use capacitive thin-film sensors that change electrical properties with moisture absorption. Every automated weather station includes a hygrometer alongside thermometer, barometer and anemometer. Accurate humidity measurement is essential for calculating dew point, heat index and evaporation rates.
